Shhhhh... Don't wake bisco up. You boys have fun. I need to go take my Sunday night bath. Good luck with everything, mom. Just drive it.
I've done that way more times than you, Andy. I think Mom will forgive us... She's used to dealing with kids. LOL. Take care, sir. Great looking Prime you got there. I put a picture up there of my old fashioned, non-plug in, 2016 Three model.
Pluto - isn't that the coldest of the planets - well, ex-planet now. It'd be a blizzard for each of the 90,400 days of the year - except that there is no snow, and possibly no wind.
Going back a few pages in this thread, but I can't help remember if we've pointed out to @momto4girls that the Automatic Aircon button toggles through three phases Fast - full ac and fan, Normal - fast cooling with variable fan speeds and Eco - minimal power cooling and reduced fan speeds, i.e. the best for fuel economy. PS: Eco may not offer sufficient cooling for hot summer temps.
Good that Eco keeps you chiled, but I was trying to show that it does reduce the regular cooling potential. Mom may not not be such an expert with Prii hvac as some.
Charge at 35 miles with 199.9 Lifetime average. One blip down from full , 450 miles on car, this tank. unfortunately, it can’t get any better.
I don't understand the "this is a prime post". I posted in "gen 4 Prius Fuel Economy". Have I missed something? I don't have a prime, and I'm confused. Apologies if I posted in the wrong place. I just came back to update... Gas mileage came back up and is better than ever. I reset the trip odometer before I drove to Atlanta and back today. (I'm in Birmingham). My average was 63.3 mpg. Very happy with that. Week before I drove to Bradenton Beach and back and averaged 60 mpg on that trip. All is well! Starship, I hear you. But part of the fun for me is trying to get that mpg number up. I agree--all the other displays are distracting. I have learned to ignore them.
Bravo!! You most certainly have got it now. (Emoji for standing ovation is missing from the repertoire)!
My MPG numbers vary quite a bit. Between 51 to 59 mpg? I don't take those numbers on the display too seriously. I do a hand calculation to get the real number. But I only check it occasionally. I'm not a MPG geek... or freak. Some of these nuts check their mileage after a 5 mile trip! It's a Prius. I know its going to get good gas mileage. Not really concerned about MPG, I just want a good reliable car! As trouble-free as possible. Seeing so many threads about all kinds of problems is depressing! The "fun" has wore off for me. Now its just another car... point A to point B... in all that damn traffic! I fill it up, blast the AC... .and just drive it! (And I LIKE buying gas so I can grab a hotdog and cold drink! )
Being retired now, I only fill my Prius about once-a-month. I really look forward to going home and plugging the fill numbers into my Excel database and seeing what the results bring. I guess I am one of those "nuts". 52 fill-ups - 32,480 miles - calculated lifetime MPG 61.53.
