Hello, I own a Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) and my power outlet under the air conditioning unit has died and i want to change the fuse but cannot figure out which fuse i need to change as none of them are called power outlet or cigarette lighter or similar. Thanks
Welcome, snort, snort, Papa Pig. You might look for a fuse labeled something like accessories or ACC. There are probably other circuits on the same fuse.
Don't have a V wagon, but the fuse layout under the driver's side dash indicates fuses 1 and 3 for the power outlets. The fuse cover should have a diagram on it. Both are 15A.
I know this post is two years old, and I hope you resolved your problem. The fuse for both power outlets (1 fuse for both) is under the dash far to the left of the driver's compartment. It is extremely difficult to see and access. You can view the owner's manual, or the fuse box lid to see which fuse pertains to the power outlets. It will say power outlets or "pwr" outlets on the fuse box lid. It is a sub-mini fuse and the regular mini fuse will not allow the lid to fasten back on, if used.
Actually, I was wrong about the Power Outlets. I was told this and could not find any information that differed until I read another post. Actually the front outlet reads "CIG" and the rear outlet reads "PWR OUTLET" so they are on different fuses. The one between them is the USB port on the front console next to the front outlet.
Also, the power adapter has a tiny fuse built into the metal socket itself. The fuse in the fuse box could check good all day long but if that built-in fuse goes then you are not going to get power.
