Hanging Black Fob on windshield

    Back to a Prius after several years. I had window tinting done yesterday-not through Toyota. Driving home a black fob-like device suddenly swayed from the top of the driver’s visor area. It’s attached by a plastic strip. Is this connected to the Homelink system? Suggestions please.

    i think it is usually stuck to the window behind the rear view mirror.

    Sounds like a TOLL tag device - which is attached to the windscreen by tape or similar.

    Unless it's an alarm the dealer puts in the car while sitting in the sales yard.

    You got a pic and mind sharing?

    It could be anything from a gate fob or homelink.

    My father in law has the neighborhood gate opener affixed with a 3M hook to the windshield.

    Thanks. I’ll stop by Toyota. Mysterious object dropped yes
    I’ve had my 2018 Prius (third one) since January. Mysterious little hanging fob (not hanging chad) dropped from behind rear view mirror after leaving tint place. Taped it up till I get it checked.

    Turned out be broken clamp for remote start done by tinting place, so cost not covered by warranty. My third Prius. 2018 Prius 4 which is a terrific enhancement over my 2005 one.
