Newbie charging questions

    Truthfully though, it’s just a “cheapie,” as if the term “cheap contrabassoon” weren’t an oxymoron! Czech jobbie I bought 15ish years ago. Actually, it plays surprisingly well though. Not-superb, but solid and clean, tone. Good materials and workmanship for the most part. I had to tweak the intonation in a few spots, though.

    Unfortunately, too busy at work, and learning Chinese (wife is from China), to do as much with it as I’d like...

    Nice! I've always liked the sound of a Bassoon. They are never cheap to buy, especially a Contra or Sub Contra.
