Love the car, loathe the rims. Has anyone successfully swapped out 17" rooms for 15" rims on this model? Are there any problems with doing so? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
No physical problem to do so. Just make sure the significant other is on board as that could be a problem . Good luck with your decision .
I have a coffee table book titled "Earth from Space", been snapping photos with my phone using them as avatars. Probably copy write infringement?? Current is an Antarctica glacier. I should settle down, reinstall the ol' maple leaf. That was just stuck to the car one day, when my wife rolled in. Unstaged.
On the Science Channel most nights they have a show called What on Earth? We watch that but some of the sensationalists that they have on there to try to spurn interest can be a bit mentally taxing. Coffee table book is a better way to go.
LOL, he is unusual, not a "car" guy, he didn't even know the difference until I told him about them! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
You might like the Plug-In Prius rims: 15" alloys that look great without covers. You might be able to buy somebody's for around $400.
The larger rims were an upgrade when the car was new, and are sought after by some. You should be able to come out ahead if you trade for a 15" set.
Thought about doing this but had questions. How it would affect the handling, mpg(e), would it increase the ground ckearance... SM-G950U ?
OD's of both 17" and 15" setup is virtually the same. I alternate between 17" all season, and 15" snow tires, notice little difference.
