Over $300 worth of Costco groceries. And yes, the hatch closed without squishing anything.

A Little Giant Xtreme 26 (the largest model).
    7D2_40913.jpg

All the clothes and so on for a family of four for a week, plus a DSLR and 5 lenses, a sack of snacks and a 17" laptop in the case.
    E500_16539.jpg

Three model airplanes, one pretty big one fully assembled, a field box, two tool boxes, a transmitter case, and a 2-gallon water jug. A lot of the smaller items were on the floor in front of the folded rear seats to make sure they didn't slide into and damage the airplanes during transit.

Clothes and so on for a family of four for four days, an entire suitcase full of eclipse optics, two tripods, two cameras, six lenses and snacks.
    E500_16787.jpg

27 boxes of garden edging, 10 feet in each box. There was room for about 10 more boxes in front of the back seats.
    E500_16864.jpg

And I just posted how this huge cooler actually fits despite the fact that it doesn't look like it would.

I think they pay for marketing, which is another term for lying. I'm telling the truth.

Great thread Lee Jay! The pictures you posted are great! I tend to go on trips with a lot of stuff, so I’ll have to add pics to this thread as time goes on.

    Thanks for sharing!

A very tall cabinet plus (mostly not shown) all the stuff that goes inside of it, plug one rear seat up for one passenger.

We're doing a home project so these next two are two very large medicine cabinets for the master bath, a new light fixture, a case of can lights and a case of can light covers.

Thank you for posting those pictures.
I was worried a little about how small cargo area looked in my Prime. Now I know that with a little effort I can drive around my pet elephant. LOL

Great pictures! Really good to see the R/C planes fit (I'm also a R/C flyer).
I was always amazed at how much the wife and I could squeeze into our 2004 Prius. We can't get quite as much in our Prime, but close.

Got a new dual-sink counter top for the master bath. It came in a huge box, 96" long, 27" wide, 15" deep. Still fit:

That is not a "Prius" ... That is a Truck. Great Vinyl cover on that truck to make it look like a Prius Prime ...

I once took home a Water Heater home in my 2004 Prius... But note I had to tie down the back as it would not close ...

Clothes for 4 people for an 18 day trip, plus snacks and a bag of toiletries (soap, shampoo, hair brushes and the like). Normal visibility through the center mirror - no blockage.

At 720 pounds, I guess that's still within the overall load limit for the car, at least until you get in the driver's seat. But when cutting it that close, the weight distribution starts to matter too—not just keeping the overall weight below the GVWR, but considering the front/back distribution of the load and making sure neither axle is carrying more than its own GAWR.

My guess'd be you're over on the rear....
