I just picked up a 2017 Prius 3 and it didn't come with the cargo cover. After searching a few threads, the lowest rolling cover I found was ~500. Is there a good place to purchase one for cheaper? I don't have a preference on roll vs. non-roll -- I just need it for privacy. I found a flat cover for ~75, but not sure how it would fit into the Prius. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Model 64910-47070 for reference -- I can't put a link on here due to the account maturity. Thank you!
if its the one that comes with the regular 3, its kinda like a soft mesh surrounded by a metal wire that holds it shape, kinda like those collapsible sunshades. There is two hooks closest to the seats. then there is a string that connects to the liftgate. Whats nice is that since its connected to the liftgate, it lifts the cover when you open the hatch. This is the best way to show it that I could easily find, it shows around 1 min in
64910-47070 is the part number for the mesh cover, looks like you would also need 4 other cheap parts to make it work, you could call to make sure. This site is pretty good on prices and no shipping charges on orders over $75. Toyota Tonneau Cover 64910-47070 | BAM
He probably already has the hardware installed if its the 3 model like mine, he should have the hooks needed installed @R000se, just to check, you didn't get this in your car, did you check in the spare tire area? I find it weird it wasn't included.
I bought it used, maybe that's why? Do you by chance have pictures of the hooks? I found the cover that I need to order, just need to figure out whether i need the hooks or no?
I'm pretty sure you have the hooks, can't imagine why it would be missing from the 3 model. I'll try to remember to take a photo tomorrow.
Make sure to check under the cover that hides the jack and other items for tire change, it might be there in a bag like this:
I just installed the rolling one on my 3 Touring this weekend. If your interested, I can sell you the folding Tonneau cover for $50 plus the ride (was used only once). If you want the rolling Tonneau Cover, you can get can order one from IMPEX Japan. I paid about $260 for everything shipped. The price may varies due to the exchange rate. Took about 3 days for them to get the parts to their warehouse and 5 days to ship it to me. Install takes about 5 min as you will have to pull the four hooks near the rear seats and deck and replace them with the correct parts. For the rolling Tonneau Cover, you will need the following: 1ea. 64910-47060-C0 TOYOTA COVER ASSY, TONNEAU 2ea. 64937-47020-C0 TOYOTA CAP, TONNEAU COVER HOLDER, NO.1 2ea. 64938-47060-C0 TOYOTA HOOK, TONNEAU COVER, A
Hi @Adam1a -- Do you have pictures of your folding one? Curious -- what made you switch to the rolling? Where in Cali are you located?
Here are the pics. I like the rolling cover better as one of coworkers has a Prius 4 will the same cover and I liked it better. Toyota should have included the rolling covers in all 3's and 4's. View attachment 152452 View attachment 152453
@Adam1a - Thanks for the pics. How do you open/close the cover? I don't see any ropes etc.? I'm in San Jose area and work around there as well. Excited to make this happen. Feel free to PM me your email -- we can move this to a 1:1 thread.
