Looking for recommendations on where to take our 2007 Prius. The VSC light, red ! check engine light came on along with a yellow !. Was able to pull to the side of the road and put car in park. Turned it off and back on. Lights were still on - tried to go into Drive would not move forward.

So, not sure where to take car for service - I want someone reliable but someone who isn't going to charge an arm and a leg.

If you don't want to face a Toyota repair bill and can't find a trusted, qualified garage, I would have the fault codes read. I bought a blue tooth (ELM 327) on eBay and loaded a free app on my phone and can get real time diagnostic results and clear the codes. Carista is a simple and easy to use app. Another is Torque. It will give you a more in depth analysis. Often clearing codes will allow the car to restart and get you home.
    Good luck!
