I'm kind of hoping this thread will still be around for the OP to talk about getting the air conditioner working. I wonder if the best place for some meta-discussion over whether Toyota-recommended safety practices are wussy or worthwhile would be a different thread somewhere. -Chap
I don’t know, Toyota must always side with safety, extreme safety.....just to be safe od course. Not really for safety tho, Liability
@Saint, have you had a chance to try cleaning/reseating the non-orange, controls connector at your A/C compressor yet? -Chap
sorry guys been busy traveling for work and family stuff but I did not get a chance to clean it lately I tried the fuses they were fine maybe some times today I will get around to it, but I have came to the conclusion that it is unfortunately the compressor!!!!
It seems to me an AC shop should able to quickly conclude what the problem is: over/ undercharged, com- pressor not functioning, leaks....etc.
UPDATE: so to answer your question @ChapmanF I fiddled with everything you told me to come to no avail so I took it to my mechanic that exclusively works on toyota and we did a through diagnostic, and came to the conclusion that it was the compressor
@Andyprius1 I ended up getting it fixed by my mechanic and ordered a used one off of ebay with low mileage because IT IS HOT AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But thank y'all for helping me and guiding me thru this journey!
