Hard to say. But once you buy it it is yours with a contract in writing. Still think this is not a deal for a Prius unless people start having problems at less that 125K. Don't buy cars that are unreliable if you know that in advance. I think most of the line up is pretty good for Toyota. You can always tell how good a car is buy the length of the manufactures warranty for each item. Side note: I just bought a new house and found out that Trane and Lennox don't ever cover labor unless you buy a service contract. You are better going with a cheaper brand that has a labor warranty if you have that choice. Dealers are mostly miss this days and are unreliable. Except for AC and computers most stuff is covered pretty well for the Hybrids. Wish I had a Hybrid mini truck. Me or more wife will eventually need a place to throw a well chair. Toyota, so far, has been better than all the building contractors or subcontractors I have dealt with in the construction process. Thieves and crooks all.
You have to call as I had the same problem. However there are other dealers in the master thread that will answer your email.
When Is an Extended Car Warranty Worth It? - Consumer Reports Prius drivers like to think of themselves as being smarter than the average bear. This isn't really a belief that's exclusive to Prius owners.... Most people never benefit from a new car warranty, and if overpaying for it were not bad enough some dealers even try to get you to believe that you can ONLY buy this product from a dealership....and then ONLY on the day that you buy the car. If all of this were not bad enough? SOME dealers even try revolting tactics like making you believe that you have to have maintenance performed by a GEN-U-WINE technician, at a GEN-U-WINE dealership....or the over priced and nearly useless warranty will be voided, rendered this over-priced product completely useless. Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act - Wikipedia There are EVEN dealerships out there that will saddle their victims with grey-market "coverage" that does not even provide the thin, over-priced protection of an OEM factory warranty!!! Everybody always says that they "came out slightly ahead".....or they "paid for their trip"....and yet the casino folks always manage to have enough money left over after they pay off all of those "above average" people's winnings to build and operate their humble little gambling houses and pay off their help...... http://www.indiana.edu/~educy520/sec6342/week_09/z_score_intro.pdf
