My wife is particular about color so we order a Prius 3 in February and it is predicted to show in July. Wow, that takes a while. Anyone else experienced such a delay?
probably cause you're in texas, but maybe just that particular dealer. it could be that toyota doesn't handle special orders well, they forgot to place the order, etc. how long did they estimate? was there not one they could bring in from another dealer?
They first said 2 to 3 months but dang. I just hope we get it before someone puts some sort of tariff on it. She wanted a blue Prius with a moonstone interior. All the ones around here had beige interiors. Blue seems also seems uncommon around here.
If it’s a true special order to the factory in Japan, as opposed to a change of destination for a vehicle that was already built or planned for production, four to five months is consistent with Toyota’s schedule: https://fleet.toyota.com/ftc/public/fleet/resourceSchedule.htm (Ignore the “Emmediate” and “Pipeline” columns in that table; those apply to fleet vehicles built in anticipation of customer orders.)
Ordering a new car, especially with anything that isn't default, can take months. I ordered a new Audi a few years back and it took over 3 months to arrive. Certainly isn't an abnormal wait for a customised car in my experience. SM-T813 ?
In 2016, it took nearly 3 months for them to start trickling to dealers after "release" - but I was told 3-4 months if I wanted to order other than white.
4-5 months was what I was told by the internet sales manager at Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake if I wanted to order a Prius. I'm not that picky. I wanted the ATP and TSS-P, but I gave him 4 color choices. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Finally received it today. They forgot the floor mats and rear bumper protector. They said the mats will be in Tuesday but we didn't notice the rear bumper protector was missing until we got home. I texted the sales person, I hope they don't welsh.
Beautiful! That's a great looking Prius. I will trade you White for your Blue. I'm tired of washing this car.
Actually I would prefer white but my wifee has to have blue. This darker color may even show more dirt. I impress on how quiet it is compared to her old 2009 2nd generation.
Yeah, I'm just kidding. The blizzard white pearl looks really nice after I wash & wax the Starship. It kind of sparkles if the sun hits it just right. And hopefully, the white stays a tad cooler? But I can't see out my windows at night.
I did, too, but it was my 4th color choice behind silver, Blizzard Pearl and Hypersonic Red. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
We took it back and received our floor mats and bumper protector. Also got the reverse beep switched to 1, no charge. The bumper protector looks so nice that now I need a bumper protector protector.........
