2012 Level 4, 50k miles, like new condition, and new to me. But she wanders, and wow does the crosswind make it wander! Steering feels tight but it just wanders. Rolls straight as can be, doesn't seem to be any alignment issue. I have found a lot of info on this relating to the Gen 2 but not to my Gen 3. Same regarding links to braces, all are for G2. Maybe Toyota improved things on the 3? But not mine. So, are there braces I can add or change to improve this problem?
2 quick fixes are just a rear sway bar and a front strut bar. each takes about 15-20 mins to install, super easy. Or you can get the Tom's front strut ($295) which is a fully solid piece with no bolt joints, so its super sturdy. But has a premium price tag. Go with your gut
Get an alignment check? Only the front toe can be adjusted, but everything can be checked. I'd second tires too, and there's a thing called conicity, that can cause pull to one side, swapping the front tires side to side can help to diagnose it.
Get the alignment check. If in spec, the front tires should have a slight toe-in. Our Prius v (wagon) wandered a bit and the aliment data printout showed a very slight toe-out before the alignment. Now that it is within spec the wander is much better!
