Hey All, Just got off the phone with toyota, as I was trying to set up my entunes and needed and service contract number. Turns out my Advanced doesnt have entunes? I was under the impression all Primes, at least advances and premiums come with them standard? Any ideas? Thanks!
I agree. Entune is free as I know it. You download the App to your smartphone and the "Apps" in your Prime get their Internet connectivity via the phone. There is no subscription needed for Entune. At least that's how I understand it. That said ... there is "Prime Apps" which does require a subscription but that's different from Entune. I think the reason is that behind the covers Prime Apps uses a cellular connection built into the Prime and therefore there are data charges. From the brochure: Prime apps (Remote Charge Management, Charging Station Map, ECO Dashboard, Remote Climate13 and Vehicle Finder) with 3-year complimentary trial. Access to Entune ® App Suite is subscription-free.
all toyota's come with entrees, but there's a monthly fee if you want to use the full suite. don't sweat it, it isn't worth it. just use your phone.
It is free for the first three years, you need to have the service turned on, no credit card needed.I just activated it last week on a new 2017 Advanced. Once you add the contract number on the owners website the additional app features appear on the Entunes phone app.
Yes, to activate Safety Connect, hit the SOS button (first flip down the little cover over the button) and tell the operator that this is NOT an emergency; it is a registration call. They will already have the info about the car; they will just ask for some personal info like an e-mail address. The operator will give you the contract number, which you can enter at http://www.myentune.com, to activate the Prime Apps, which will then automagically appear on the Entune smartphone app.
