Guy, I have Gen 3 advanced with factory 7" touchscreen with JBL unit. I am looking for a mod/solution so that I can mirror my Samsung S8 (Andorid) so that I can play video or youtube. Can someone guide me to the best option for addding this feature to my factory unit? Thank you in advance!
Don't think it's possible. It would have to be a feature that came with the JBL, like that on the Samsung TV's. Haven't seen anything like that. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
2012 Denso headunit reportedly has composite video in (not called out in the US wiring diagram, but somebody posted the pin positions; no time to dig through my notes ATM). The input is selectable by grounding the same line that identifies when a cable is plugged in the aux audio jack, but through a different resistance. It's possible the unit will refuse video input when the car is in motion. -Chap
