How many of you are engineers etc?

And mechanical engineers seem to fit in there just about anywhere. LOL!

 

Most ppl are googlers here and sound like they know it all

Warden, Principal; either way he is the guy who writes the checks. <G> Few prisons are designed for the inmates, or schools for the students. (Hospital design is not driven by patient needs, either)

As an employee, I was supposed to enhance stockholder value, as a programmer I wrote to make the other employees' job easier. At least 99% of the time, those were the same. (I had to remove code so the warehouse clerks could find real names based on the nick name on folks hard hat to issue parts, I had made it too easy for a potential union to organize. It doesn't say Jimbo on my birth certificate either)

Trained to be an EE but have worked as a Technician for 30 years. Had 4x sports cars in younger days. Grew up and starting hypermiling the last one, a Corvette. Next car was a Civic Hybrid, although I would have bought an Insight if I could have found one with a MT.

Currently in a 2018 HyCam LE for roughly equal parts green and tech geekiness. The Civic only had something like 93 horsepower while the Camry has 208 so I don't feel like I'm giving anything up. Love the HSD with no belts, bands, clutches, alternators, or starters to go bad.

Would have definitely purchased a Prime if I could have got a deal like they talk about in the "Unsold 2017 Prime" thread.

 

Mechanical engineer by degree and drilling engineer for oil and gas by trade. You can imagine I get a little ribbing for driving a prime. However the company I work for drills mostly for natural gas. Since so much of the electricity locally comes from gas powered generators, I get to say that I’m doing more to boost our share price whereas they are helping our competition by using a crude derivative.

 

Well if you add all those things up you have been you are over 100 years OLD !!

I've been a musician almost my entire life, and worked in IT several years while I was in sales.
Sometimes I feel over 100 years old, but usually more like 23 years old!!
