Don't forget flipping the rear view mirror. Anyone who is tall will have trouble seeing past the mirror and flipping it upside down does give you more viewing area.

That's the purpose of the "sticky" posts in every forum. Go to the modifications forum and look at the top posts. That will be a somewhat concise list of mods, including access codes for diagnostic screen, backup beeper, etc. I would bet john1701a's website would have a list of these as well.

The single most useful one for me is flipping the rear-view mirror upside down.

I just noticed today that my spoiler is not positioned flush with the side panels. It is flush on the window edge but both sides of the rear edge are about 1/4 inch higher than the sides of the car. Anyone's '06 like that or do I have bad spoiler mount?

They're all like that. Not sure why. Maybe it reduced Cd? Looks odd when you see it from certain angles, looks fine the rest of the time.

MUD FLAPS.... Never was I more thankful than today that I spent the 45 minutes and $40 or so (I forget how much) on their purchase.

I was driving some things to my wife's friend's house and as I came around a turn, those dreaded words on the orange road work sign..... "Loose Stone". Those of you in rural to semi-rural areas would know what that means. They periiodically use paving method on some town roads, called "oil & stone". They basically lay down a layer of thick oil and loose stone. They meld into a solid asphalt like surface ... after a while. The cars basically pack it down by running over it for a couple of weeks. In the meantime "LOOSE STONE!"

As I go over it, I can hear the hundreds, nay thousands of stone being kicked up by my tires. I felt much better, though I admit not totally confident, that the mud flaps were preventing damage... I hope

It was dark, so I shall look tomorrow... if I have the stomach

Does anyone have pictures of their Prius with the mudguards installed? If so, I would bet that I am not the only one who would like to see how they look. Thanks :)

All Canadian vehicles have mudguard standard. Hmm... does the photo album not have any?

When I try to go into the photo gallery, I get a message saying that it is offline. In the meantime, I will do some searches on other sites. Anyone have any suggestions?

Nevermind. Sorry. If you go to the Canada version of Prius.com, you can see a silver metallic 07 with the mud guards. Thanks.

How did you turn off the back up beeper and hook up something to be heard externally?

I was wondering the same thing ... there's mention of an external backup buzzer but I haven't seen anything other than the helpful (thank you) instructions as to how to disable the internal backup alarm.

    Anyone have a link, please?

    Thanks!
