I recently purchased a used 2014 C (not sure of it's trim though) and I noticed after buying it that below the backseat on the battery cover that the plastic bolts that are in the picture are falling off Any idea if they can be fixed or replaced ? And if so where can I buy them online ? Also what is the proper name for them so that the next time they break I can look for them easily ? Thanks ahead for the help
Yes. Once you have the replacements, use a small screwdriver or pick to extract the center part of each clip to remove it. Someone in Japan had a similar problem and posted photos of the clips (page in Japanese), so you can see how they’re constructed. Questions like this can be answered using Toyota’s parts catalog. For vehicles built for the U.S. market, this is available at parts.toyota.com. In Figure 71-02, Rear Seat and Seat Track, the second and third of the three images (for two-piece and one-piece seat backs, respectively) show that the three clips for the center front floor cover, on vehicles built through June 2017, have Toyota part number 90467-08226. These clips are used on several Toyota models and should be available from the Toyota dealer in your country. If not, a Google search on the part number finds some online sellers, though postage is likely to cost more than the parts. Many of these sellers are Toyota dealers in the U.S., who aren’t supposed to export, but some might ship to a forwarding service. There are also exporting companies in Japan, about which I’ve written previously.
