I've searched the forum, owner's manual and Google with no joy, so here's a question for the forum: Our 2014 Prius v, new to us last week, has a bar of blue light at the bottom of the instrument panel. I'm curious as to what it might be for. (Love how this forum uses the title as search criteria.)
Not sure it does anything but add some styling elements. It does not appear to be called out in the manual.
No, it's just blue all the time. Purely to look quirky / cool. Some other cars like Hondas change an ambient color between blue / green / red as you drive though. See press photo here: Toyota Prius V (2012) - picture 43 of 77 - 1280x960
Yep! The list of warning lights is in section 5-2 of your owners manual (or at least that's where it is in the US manual).
The only thing i ve noticed about that bar is that it will increase or decrease in brightness if you have your lights on or off.. I too was perplexed for a while wondering what that bar was all about.. I think it's just some styling thingy?
