...you get upset at 45 mpg.

...you have to stop and wonder why your non-SKS car doesn't open automatically when you reach for the door.

...you seem annoyed when you are in a gas powered vehicle and the engine continues to run when you stop.

You assume that everyone knows what SKS, ICE and MFD means.

You give a 5-minute answer when a non-driver asks a simple question about the battery.

You actually start looking for the roads with lower speed limits on it so you can glide as much as possible.

You can feel a non-arrow glide without looking at the MFD, but others look at you blankly when you mention this.

You wish your SKS worked for your house too.

You hop in to drive another car, and forget that you must actually take a key out of your pocket, stick it in the ignition, and start the engine to go. :p

    • Your friends, family, and coworkers are darned sick and tired of hearing you moan and complain that rain, wind, tire pressure, A/C, and hills all affect your mileage.
    • Your significant other is CONVINCED you are having an affair with Godiva (or Bill Merchant).
    • You get upset when other hybrid drivers don't wave back.
    • You know by heart the number of miles on your car, the amount of gasoline your car has consumed since you bought it, the lifetime mileage of your car, and your best tank.
    • You park on inclined spots - backed in - so you can glide out with downhill momentum.
    • When you try to convince your significant other that any trip that less than five minutes to drive really should be walked anyway.
    • When you get out of your car five minutes late sweating and limping.
(slow driving, refusing to turn on the A/C, and trying too hard feather the pedal)

You are too weak to move that big gear shift into park, drive, etc.

You forget when you got gas last...

-You appear visibly disgusted when people ask where the plug is...

-You willingly compromise a much softer ride for MPG by overinflating your tires...

    -70 MPH feels "decadent."

You lower yourself to ride in somebody else's car, and it feels like a piece of...old farm equipment.

You fret that you should've rechecked the tire pressure before pulling out for the day.

Hummer and other monster SUV drivers flip you off for no apparent reason.

Everyone needs to tell you what they heard is really bad about that car (my favorite is when I'm told we run out of gas a lot - the smugness fades when I explain it's that we forget we have to gas up every few weeks...)

People say "You won't think it's so great when the battery dies in 5 years and you have to pay $8000 to replace it.

You get excited when you see Prii on the raod.

I do get annoyed when I see 45 but I don't remember the last time I saw 45 haha.

    That hasn't happened yet

Yep. I hate it when I sit in traffic with the Camry.

Not funny. It has happened to me before. My friend got a good laugh.

That has happened twice. Usually when I have 3 week tanks.

I wish that was the case, I still fill up once a week. On Friday I did my first "mega-fill"- I actually cramed 10.5 gallons in, and was able to get all the way to San Diego and not stop for gas- that was nice! I tried to do it again in SD, but the pump wouldn't let me- it would have taken forever.
