I like the refreshed looks. The 'crossover' black wheel arches, etc..are a really nice touch. Although the claim that they did it to make the C look more 'SUV-ish' is pretty laughable. Anything else new in the refresh?
Seems like a mild refresh (3rd one) 2018 Toyota Prius c: Toyota’s Most Affordable Hybrid Delivers New Exterior Design Style for 2018 | Toyota USA Newsroom
I have a new 2018 Prius C. The roof rails are an added blemish in the styling. They are plastic and do nothing that roof rails normally do like hold actual racks. They actually hinder rack mounting. I've been looking for a solution so I can add racks for surfing. Haven't found one. I may look at removing them. I think they just bolt off. Hopefully someone comes up with an accessory solution. Most of the other added fittings are just plastic. Look cool but fairly cheap but do add a lot to the styling. The new rims are nice.
It's just two bolts, if I remember reading correctly. However, they leave the channel exposed and it looks terrible.
I ordered my OEM roof racks from the UK which fit the Yaris Hybrid. The upper roof frame is the same as the C. Genuine Toyota Yaris Roof Rack Travel Touring PZ403B2614GA 07/2011-11/2013 | eBay I have not used mine yet. Just stored it for now in case I need it.
The main issue with the 2018 is the roof rails. the racks wont fit flush unless they are removed. See teh black rails on each side in the photo. They are just plastic.
I have a 2018 C (Four)...I have the sunroof so no roof rails. Not sure what the older versions had, but there's only a few things I would, or currently have on my list to, change. One of my biggest dislikes is the lack of lighting in the passenger areas, which I'm fixing.
I am betting it is the Subaru Crosstrek sales success. There are any number of vehicles that are showing some Crosstrek imitation. The 2019 Rav 4 shows some Crosstrek clues in its form and styling that the '18 does not.
