I can look at my spare hatch harness at the shop to see if I can see a part number over the weekend.

would be great, really annoying that the thing doesnt work... i can take the connector off, spray it with anti-rust spray and connect it back again and it works for like a day. but after one day it stops working again...

On the left boot, It’s license plate lights, hatch release, SKS button (if equipped), rear view camera (if equipped), rear wiper

On the right boot it’s the hose for the wash sprayer.

Car show with the Prius. Being the south, I was of course the only import car that showed up. Got a lot of attention, and a lot of "Wait....that's a PRIUS?!"

    Hey Folks.

Sorry to neglect everyone here as I have been a member since 2013 but haven't posted much in the past 4 years...I felt like I did all the mods that I wanted to do and nothing was left to change on the car. I got bored of the car and then leased a 2018 WRX back in Oct 2017 but got rid of it just 2 week ago.. The WRX was a beast and cornered on rails but was just too stiff and hard to live with everyday. There were a lot of other reasons too but what felt very alien to me was putting in the double amount of gas into that car compared with the Prius. Once you drive a hybrid, anything that uses more than 5.0L/100km (47mpg) seems to be archaic and backward.

Not to stray too far off topic but one thing I really missed about the WRX was the adaptive LED headlights. I did some research and purchased some decent quality LED low beam replacement bulbs off xenon depot for about $100 usd:

H11 LED Headlight Kit | H11 LED Foglight Upgrade

The light output is quite amazing for a retrofit kit and installation was simple. The ballasts are super small and don't hum. Also, there's no cooling fan as the heat sink has expandable fins. After driving around at night for an hour, I did not find that the heat sinks were warm. There's 2 year warranty and light output is white; similar to hid's. I haven't gotten high beamed by any incoming drivers and there seems to be no stray light from the lens.

Normally I don't recommend retrofit kits as I've had a host of issues come up in my previous cars where I messed around with colored bulbs, hid's and stuff in my college years with my previous cars. However, i'm going to give this product two thumbs up for the performance. It's quite an awesome mod for $100 and delivery took just 3 days to my doorstep. Most importantly, I can't see any blinding glare when I stare at them standing in front of the car and kneeing down to them on eye level. I highly doubt they are street legal but I wouldn't say they are more dangerous to oncoming traffic by the looks of things.

I apologize ahead of time anyone else already did a review of these. Pictures below

I came directly from an NA Miata and a JDM Evo 8 MR, so I know how you feel about the performance of the car. I added a rear sway bar, rear strut tower bar and a front strut tower bar and it completely changed how the car drives. It corners incredibly well and is very flat and bordering pretty damn sporty. I have a ton of fun throwing the car around corners. High grip tires help with that as well, but I have no complains having fun in the Prius anymore...besides the obvious lack of acceleration over 40mph...

Something to consider if you haven't already done those modifications. The best part is, all of them are SUPER easy to do. You can get the rear sway bar on in 30 minutes, and if you don't need to cut into the trim to get to the rear strut towers that only takes 30 minutes too.

You know it! I was there for four years and miss it every day. I only have another year left before I can import myself another Celica GT-Four...

Thanks for reply.. I already have a lot of mods to the prius...coilovers and TRD rear sway bar. For what it is, the handling is decent. Sounds like you had a lot of fun cars before the prius. Gas prices here are the most expensive in north America; I think we are almost paying double of what americans are paying so i'll keep this car for a while although the new Camry SE Hybrid seems tempting.

    Cheers,

Can anyone tell me what fog lamps these are? The one on the right side is flickering and dim but it looks like there are three bulbs.

I'm wondering if I can just plug and play any of the aftermarket fog lights available an amazon

How do these come off? Do they just pop off with "gentle force"?
