I'm curious is anyone has some real miles on the Prime. We bought ours in August and have 17,000 (we drive 1,000+ miles per week, my commute alone is 125 miles round trip).

Our 2007 Prius has 476k miles and about another 5k from when the dash was out. We had minimal problems with that car and still drive it.

I'm hoping the Prime will have strong reliability. Our car should be a good guinea pig at 50k/year but maybe some of you drive more than us and are already racking up the miles.

Any high mile Primes yet or ones that will get there?

Only issue has been a flat after 17,000 miles, which happened in the parking lot of the new gym by my house, so there may have been construction debris.

I am at 22k mi. No issues with the car. Dealership left the oil cap off the engine, but they paid for the cleanup job. LKAS is useless, DRCC is worth it’s weight in gold. Entune sucks. Fuel economy is off the charts good. I hoped for 60, and I am getting 76.

What sort of driving do you do? Is that gas-only mpg, or with a full charge mixed in?

I can get 70mpg displayed around town, but put it on the highway and mpg plummets. I got 54mpg yesterday on an interstate run, averaging about 75mph, 60F with a crosswind and about 550 lb load. That's pretty typical for me on the interstate.

Oh, and I'm at 11K miles in 8 months. I averaged about 11K a year with my previous Passat, but we use the Prime whenever possible now, and avoid my wife's SUV for around town AND trip use unless we absolutely need the load/people carrying capacity.

Purchased my Prime on June 13, 2017, I'm at 39k right now. My daily work commute is 80 miles primarily on highway (doing 65+) to and from work. So I'm averaging 1k miles per week and filling my gas tank 1 1/2 - 2 times depending on how long I wait to fill it.

I charge every night when I get home but don't have the option while at work. So what I've been doing is using the EV mode when not on the highway (getting to it in the mornings, going out for lunches, etc). I'm sure but I'm somewhere in the 55 to 60mpg range.

I've had zero issues with the Prime other than hating Entune and wishing the remote start worked better for defrosting the car on cold snowy mornings.

45k. Lots of traveling up and down California. Only issue today. Blowout on the Toyo tires. Getting rid of those as soon as the insurance deal goes down and I get the damages repaired. Entune sucks. Remote climate works when it feels like it. Hmm. Little bit of creaking in the driver side rear part of the car. Other than that hope it last a while.

It’s been six years since this thread was last active. I’d be interested to hear about high mileage on Gen 4 Primes now that they are as old as 7 or even 8 years.

2017 with 75k miles. Problem free...well, I just fixed the overhead cabin light by bending the contracts tighter & cleaning them. Battery range remaining excellent.

I have been looking for a used 2017 lately and saw many in 160s - 170s. Never saw one over 200k. But I am sure there are out there.

I am curious what the OP's odometer looks like now. Their 476k mile on the 2007 made my jaw drop. And that was over 6 years ago.

This is the mileage on my personal Prime Advanced. Everything is original except the front struts (KYB), front control arms (no name from Ebay) and mounts (KYB). 3 windshields have been replaced and now there is a third 12V battery (standart from Costco, not AGM) . This is all. I don't count brake pads ( I changed it once I think) and tires.

This is remarkable. What year is your Prime? The EV estimated miles looks to be unchanged from new? That too is incredible.

Guess my estimate was incorrect on the EV capacity. At new it would have been around 34 miles? In that case it would be about 25% reduction.
