Hi all, just wanted to bounce this off of all you: 2007 Toyota Prius, has 168K mi on it. Exterior: Blue, some scratches, some fading paint, the back panel (where you open the trunk from, that harbors the camera) fell off, I glued it back in place Interior: beige, stained--admittedly I didn't take care of it that well. Power locks are broken (not sure why, they just stopped working): you have to open the car door 'manually' with the mechanical key Otherwise the car runs great, now real issues. It's the original hybrid battery, rear battery has been replaced once. CarMax offered me $1600 for it. Does that sound right?
I think by Kbb it might be valued a little more, ~$2K. But taking into account the wear and tear on the exterior/interior, and the 'convenience' of CarMax, I think $1600 sounds right, no?
What's the kbb cash offer? Kelly offers cash--wholesale Trade in and outright sale prices, if the kellycash is higher, take it....
Dealer black book is 2500. However condition is everything, and priuses don't command a big markup if gas is under 3$. I would give you the same 1600 if the ac works, considering the locks don't.
Yeah, this sounds right to me. When it's out the door, curious to know what you get. Here in the North East most all used gen ii models have seen some serious snow, salt, and most likely have been used interchangeably as an off road utility tank, thus even nice ones are losing value xD
