bout the same... noone said it got better than in this thread I have a 2013 Lexus ES300h that gets me 40MPG consistently in normal mode. I run in eco mode and get between 42-43 average. The ESh is nothing more than a nicer Avalon Hybrid I have been waiting for the New ESh to be released for 2019 as the Avalon has.
Only Camry LE hybrid has a combined rating over 50mpg, and only in the US because Toyota put cheap steel wheels on it that are smaller than what the ICE LE gets standard. In other markets, the hybrid keeps the LE alloys, and rating is under 50mpg. The SE and XLE hybrid are rated 46mpg. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--03uJo_Jj--/c_scale,f_auto,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/l6jvvgaayjinp5dwlrb7.jpg
tough to base your personal experience against published epa numbers. better to wait and see how fuelly is looking. we have never been disappointed with toyota hybrid mpg's vs epa, but it depends on your driving style and other factors.
