I got a little better quotes from NY and NJ, but Dianne's won me over. I know I didn't had the best deal compare with others in here especially those very recent ones, but it was still a very good deal and better than some.

Hey Steve here is the picture of my new Prius Prime just bought today at Jim Coleman Toyota in Baltimore Maryland. Amar says hello and your coffee mug is in the mail!

I had a great experience with this dealer. I was in and out of the dealership in 1 1/2 hours with no hassles. Most of the other dealers I dealt with wanted me to stop in before giving me their best price but I did not want to travel 6 .5 hours and not have a concrete deal.

I love the new Prius Prime. The ride is very smooth and the car feels solid!

I would like to thank everyone in this thread for the good advice and help in finding a great deal. I saved around $4,500 by traveling to Baltimore to buy the Prius.

    Thanks everyone!

I hope that it is ok to ask this here. Would the new owners be willing to photograph what their "manuals" came in? I take delivery on Monday, and noticed the manuals are without any type of cover. I've read on this site that different places had different types of covers provided? Visual reference would be great. Thanks!

Both of my Primes came without any covers for the Owner's Manuals. But they do fill up most of the glove box...

(Edit: looks like they came in a rubber band!)

we've purchased 7 toyota's in the last 16 years, and none have come with anything but a cheap vinyl case. it is completely up to the dealer.

Thanks! It is a pile of them, isn't it? I'm thinking of keeping half of them in the rear slot where the charging cord is kept.

Thanks Bisco. We are trading in our Subaru which came with a handsome zippered case which makes it easy - we've downloaded the Prius Prime manuals to our phones, but all I keep thinking of is the big, burly, swaggering and loud tow truck guy who, via SafetyConnect, came to load our 3rd Gen Prius "Spike" onto his flatbed yet didn't seem sure how to hook up the car to get it onto his truck - he became belligerent after I saw him looking under the car to see where to hook Spike up, and I said that there were special hooks on a Prius - I checked the manual on my phone and he threatened to leave us stranded where we were at midnight. He ended up doing the right thing, but not a good experience. We bought Spike used, without the manuals, and after that purchased the actual manual, and put a sticky in that area, so we could just hand over the manual. Remembering it all, I'm going to make a photocopy of that page, and just fold it in half and tuck it in so I can just hand it over the next time there might be such an issue. So if I get someone like him again, he's the one figuring it out. I think that was the issue - he didn't like me telling him anything.

We put one of the Quick Reference Guides and the Maintenance Guide in the glove box and keep the rest in the house. The manuals are all also available online, so really no need to carry them around.

Everybody, fingers crossed for me! Thursday night we signed the P/S, Friday was "the dance" where they sent the info to our insurance company, who sent the binder to our credit union, who sent electric copies for us to sign, then I picked up the check - drove up to Boston in rain and traffic, as I was told they could register the car if I got the check to them by a certain time. I'm almost there when I get a call saying that the Registry of Motor Vehicles site is down, and they would not be able to register the car that day. So, they can't do it on the weekend. I need to drive up there on Monday. I'm a little concerned that on the Toyota site, it says that you "must take delivery by x date" - to get the $4,500 Toyota incentive, and "x" date is Monday, the 30th. I shared my concern with the manager I spoke with on Friday, and he said that as long as they have the check and the contract signed, it is fine. They have been "ok" but too many "little" misunderstandings - Thursday night I was told that it was not necessary to bring the check in on Friday - that I could call them saying that I had received it, and they would do the Registry stuff. I called, then was told to bring it in. Different people are telling me different things. I have a contract, but the 30th is tomorrow. I'm taking delivery!

My guess is that the regional incentive will continue until the 2017 Primes are all gone. Plus, since you signed the Purchase Agreement with the Rebate listed as $4500, you may be able to back out of the deal without consequence if something changes.

    Congratulations, you'll love the car!

when us pip preorder customers received our cars and manuals, we were very jealous of the gifts chevy was giving out to new owners, especially the leather manual case and also other goodies. toyota treated us like dirt, but we did get the better car.

Close to trading in my 2017 on a 2017. The numbers sadly work on the spread between the trade-in and the new purchase. Getting offers of 17-19.5 for my 2017 with 29K miles and looking at 3200-3800 dealer markdown. Numbers work with the getting the second federal tax credit ( I can't re-up on state do to 36month stipulations)
