I'm hoping i'll have close to $10,000 by the end of the year to put down on a car. Generally models for the next year come out a few months before January, right?

I placed an order for a 2007 and was told mid-August production with end of Sept./beginning of Oct. delivery This dealer has 2 2007s allocated the first delivery month and I picked one.

Yeh rite, I'm sure RichBoy is the only one who knows anything about Toyota.... <_< I ordered my Prius '05 in mid Oct, 04. At that time, I saw several '05 Prius at the lots (ordered by others). My Prius came on Dec 07, 2004 (7 weeks of wait). Unless Prius is the special case, I would say Oct is the month of new model change for Toyota. :

Manuals, paperwork and the VIN all show it as a 2005 MY Prius. The MY change of Toyota's can come anytime. The 2004 MY Sienna was released in March 2003. The 2007 CamryHybrid was a May 2006 release, and the 2006 Highlander showed up in, ummm, June 2005. However, those were early releases of redesigned/new models to get a jump on the market, so take that with a grain of salt...
