No, don't stop. I used to think I was wasting gasoline or electrons doing that, but then realized how much more gasoline would be wasted if the general public thinks Prius cars are slow, and end up driving more big cars....

Congratz, great deal! Did you purchase this car sight unseen from RI, and having it shipped to you in WA, or are you going to drive it home?

Sight unseen, but with careful email documentation of the costs and which vehicle, etc. We are driving it since the insurance company told us we had to take personal possession for coverage to start. Besides, my wife and her cousin like road trips...

I'm in the market for a 2017 Advanced, too. I would thank you for the name of the RI dealer you bought from. Thank you.

Hello everyone, my name is Alan. First post, and obviously a new member (a long time lurker) of the board here.

Just bought my second Prius couple of days ago. First one, a 2012 Prius III w/ solar roof, was totaled about a month ago from an accident. This time, I've decided to pick up a plug-in hybrid. Gotta be honest though, I almost picked up a Chevrolet Volt instead, but the 54+ MPG offered by the Prius I couldn't resist. Anyway, please see below for the structure detail.

    2017 Toyota Prius Prime Advanced
    Titanium Glow / Black

    MSRP: $34,294
Final selling price before TFS incentives: $31535.96 ($2,000 under invoice)
Incentives: $500 rebate plus 0% APR for 72 months
Out the door price: $34501.20 (TTL plus 7.75% sales tax)

It's awkward to say this, but since I'm an auto broker myself, I structured out this deal myself through a local dealer here.

There is also $1500 California State rebate and $4502 Federal Tax Credit that you should not forget.

Let me know if you guys have any question on this deal.

Thanks for the post Alan. I have now seen two deals $2000+ under invoice, I think I might go in hard when I negotiate mine. There must be dealer holdback that allows them to still make a profit at this level. My dealer has 22 in stock currently, all 2017. However, I am in NY state.

Could you share the deal you got ?

The rebates are going to expire April 30th. Do you think Toyota will extend the rebate or possibly increase it? Trying to plan a trip to buy and wondering if I should go before April 30th.

There is a $4,500 in NY State so you should have a great start on negotiating a great deal!

The lowest price I can find in California is $370 month lease for a Prime premium. No crazy rebates here

This is a link to a Massachusetts program, "Drive Green with Mass Energy" - some of the prices look really good - if I should share elsewhere, let me know: All Deals Table | Drive Green with Mass Energy The Prius Prime prices are about 3/4 of the way down the page. Read carefully, as some of the prices include the Toyota $4,500 rebate, while others include the low % financing - get that calculator handy!

A dealer in NJ charges $499 for doc. and 350 for M.V. and I'm located in CA. Are those fees reasonable?

    Thanks,

sounds high to me, but if it is the best discount you can find, it might be worth it.

I was just quoted the following from Toyota of Dartmouth, MA:

Prius Prime Premium; Out the door price: $25,134
    MSRP: $29,943
    Internet Price Quote: $23,200
    (includes $4,500 Rebate)

    Doc Fee: $329
    Tax: $1,470 (I think $20 too high)
    Reg/Title Fee: $135

Prius Prime Advanced; Out the door price: $29,584
    MSRP: $34,243
    Internet Price Quote: $27,388
    (includes $4,500 Rebate)

    Doc Fee: $329
    Tax: $1,732 (I think $20 too high)
    Reg/Title Fee: $135

Both quotes include all weather mats and liner.
Does not include Mass State $1,500 rebate and Fed Tax Credit
These will bring the price down to:

    $19,134 for the Premium
    $23,584 for the Advanced

Of course I still need to get what is fair for my trade in.

    Hi all,

I have a question. I bought my 2017 Prius Prime Plus last Sunday. The OTD price is about 27500$.

2 days ago. Another dealer reached out to me and told me now all Toyota dealers is offering 2500$ factory rebate instead of 1500$ starting this week. I checked Toyota site and it is the case. Do you think if I'll be able to get anything out of this new promo since I am only 2 days away from this new deal? Thanks!
