I have recently acquired my 1st hybrid, its 2014 Toyota Aqua which is also known as Prius C. This car was purchased from Japanese car auction. The car is practically new with only 10,000kms on the odo. I got it cheap as the rear left door was damaged. I replaced my daily runner (2010 Corolla 1.8 auto) with this car. The fuel economy is unbelievable, 43km/litre. The gas doesn't run out. The only downside is that its smallish at the back seats, and ride is bit choppy as compared to Corolla. Overall its fun to drive.
Likewise, congratulations! I hope you have many years of good driving with it. Thanks for posting the pictures.
Congrats! I'm surprised no one jumped on the 43km/L! (probably cause it's a different unit). That's over 101mpg US guys! Wow!
Great that you are getting 43km/litre, could you please tell us a little about the driving conditions, the distance traveled for this mileage, and your driving technique, I am able to get max 35 Km/L in night driving with light traffic in city (on Level road) , but daytime driving, with A/C on, in congested city road with constant stop & go traffic is another story, the usual mileage is 11- 13.5 Km/L , I try the "Pulse & Glide" technique whenever i get some clear rood ahead, that sometime improves mileage to 14- 15 Km/L max.
I am also relatively new owner. I got this milage while driving on open stretches within the city with speed upto 60kph. As regards to city driving, Lahore traffic is as bad as in Karachi especially at school timing however my average never falls under 20. I just took some 1000km trip to Islamabad/Murree thats altitude of 7500ft above sea level. Lahore-Islamabad-Lahore via motorway 786kms @ 110~120kph. Islamabad-Murree-Islamabad extreme climb and decent 150kms @ 70-80kph. The average consumption for this 1,000km trip was 47.42liters = 21kpl. My car is self import, 9,878kms when purchased from Kinki auction house. I use 0w-20 KIXX fully synthetic oil, with original toyota oil and air filter.
