    True, MelonPrius,
But , if I were to buy the CRV, I may never trade it for a hybrid. I may keep it a long time. If I keep the Prius a year or 2 more I may not be able to find a new car without all the semi autonomous safety features that I want to avoid. Just thinking...
I'll call Honda headquarters and ask
What they forsee re.the safety features. Thanks

Won't help you with ground clearance but for others struggling with comfort, the Camry Hybrid is far more comfortable to drive and far more responsive than the Prius. The gas mileage isn't as good, it costs more, and it doesn't have as much cargo capacity. Other than that, it's a dream.

Did you check what you'll get for it? I'm guessing $4,000 or 5,000. I say run it into the ground for another 4-6 yrs. That will save you the most money.

Always check what your car insurance will jump to with the new ride

I have a 2016 Honda crv Ex-L model. My wife has 2013 Prius. Honda does retain it's value - probably better than any other car mfgr. It's been a great vehicle. The awd has been just fine in Minnesota winters. This is my second crv. I lease them. Mine does not have the new turbo motor, so cannot comment on fuel economy. Generally, in the Winter my mileage goes down to mid 20s but my wife's prius goes down to mid 30s. That's what happens with the heat blowing full blast in horrible Winter weather. I like the new style of the crv but the turbo motors scare me away.

Is the Honda crv hybrid confirmed to come to the US market? If so, I have not seen it.

Thanks to everyone who replied ! I decided to KEEP my 2013 Prius with 44K miles. I appreciate everyones' input and help. It was partly a financial decision, and partly because i ran over a tall curb, had to get the Prius towed back over it.
Strangely, the TOW TRUCK DRIVER advised me against the CRV. He said they can have faulty alternators... and they tow them allot.
He told me my Prius is very good and reliable... they hardly ever tow them. I'm hanging on til 60-70K miles.
Now I can make the seats a little more comfortable and get it detailed. It's a beautiful car, and now thanks to YOU, it feels and looks NEW. ish.Love the color. sea glass pearl - light blue.
THANKS to you all...... you made allot of sense ! and It's been a trouble free car...
The dealer overcharged me recently,... 500. for a routine maintenance, cleaning the A/C system.

Oh, cool. That will be a nice addition to the market. The crv is a great vehicle. Will compete though against a brand new Rav 4 hybrid, too. Better for the consumer to have more options for sure!

One of our closest friends actually had an issue with alternator on their families 2014 or 2015 crv. That's so interesting. I also had a 2014 that over-heated. Unsure why. They still didn't really have an answer for me. That one is long gone now. I have the 2016 and it has been relatively fine- but nothing like my wife's 13 Prius. That car has literally (knock on wood!!!!) had zero to do except regular oil changes, etc.. in 80k miles! Incredible. Many more safe miles ahead!

A family member bought a new CRV shortly after we got our subie Outback. Driving them back to back on a couple of occasions had both the wife and I in agreement the subie was a much better ride. Suggest a test drive if you re-decide to visit this question again.

I’m very glad to see that you made the decision that you made, Nantucket. Some of us, or many of us, admire the Prius for it’s reduced carbon emissions , in addition to the household economies. From that perspective buying a new car is counterproductive.
