This is my first "mod". Friday night there was a LONG package in the mail - my black Prius decals had arrived!

This afternoon (in the blazing heat) I followed the directions and applied them to each side, the rear, and the small one on the front bumber. See pictures (Front Bumper, Driver's Side, Rear, Rear Driver's Side, Rear Passenger Side, Passenger Side). The instructions are very well written and easy to follow. I am thrilled with the results!

The package also came with 4 "extra" stickers (2 gray "Hybrid" and 2 white "Prius") that I am not going to use, so whoever wants them can have them for free - first one to ask gets them. Please send me a private note if you want them.

[UPDATE] I got the first request a few minutes after I posted this, so the free extra decals have been claimed!

You can get them from, at the PriusChat Shop. I'm the guy who makes them, by the way.

    Paul,

Great design and placement for the decals. It is well worth the price.

I have two sides and rear decals on. Where do you suggest we put the remaining extra ones? You mentioned on the windows in the instruction. I just want to know exactly where (from the designer) you intended them to go. B) Thanks.

    Paul,

Since you make these, I'm going to assume you have some artistic ability! (Of which I have none!) I also see you have a Seaside Peal Prius so I would like to ask you your opinion (or anyone else) what color decals look best on the Seaside Pearl from the white, grey, and black decals available? I'm expecting my new 06 Prius this coming week and it is also Seaside Pearl and I'm leaning toward white but not sure. I still have difficuly picking out my tie colors when getting dressed! All opinions welcome.

Perhaps other Prius owners here can send photos of their decals on the various colors.

Thanks in advance to all! Tom

    This is a hoot.

On a neighboring thread folks are threatening anarchy and civil disobedience because of the HOV stickers required by several states to get a really good deal: solo use of the carpool lanes.

Here we have people racing each other for a freebie or wanting to know where they can actually buy stickers to paste all over their cars that gets them zero additional functionality!

Nothing judgmental about the stickers, BTW. I think these Hybrid/Prius ones look pretty cool. Sort of like the decals they put on million dollar Indianapolis racers.

Some years ago, an advertising agency paid VW bug owners to totally re-paint their cars with garish ads for tasteful products like Kool and Camel cigarettes. They got a lot of takers but they're gone now. Nobody would drive a car looking like that for free.

    It takes all kinds......

I've been reading that thread too and yes - it is a hoot!

Why don't we ask Paul to design complimentary stickers with something like what he already created, but with new arrows poiinting towards the HOV stickers and a balloon saying "nya-nya" to the other non-hybrid cars!

    [joking of course]

Well, Paul's decals are much more artistic and sophisticated, in keeping with the Prius. They also say "PRIUS". And the white, gray or black compliment the available colors (as opposed to a bilious and glaring yellow)

What color you choose depends on the statement you want to make.

I have a black prius. I chose gray rather than white because I didn't want to be too blatant.

On a blue either white, gray or black would work. If you want subtle, go with gray. White would be a little more noticable. Black would be the most obvious. It might also depend on what else you have in the way of accessories.

Hi Godiva. Do you think you could post a pic of this. I can't decide on the white or gray for Locutus.

    Thanks

Well, today I saw two people looking at my car (with newly applied decals) and I proudly walked up and answered the unspoken question - I smiled and said "48.5" - to which they both said "WOW" and then asked how it rode, how much was it, etc, etc.

Nice experience that I may have missed without the stickers to draw more attention.

    Thanks again Paul!

Paul, I just put them on, chose the black decals for my silver Prius (check out new avatar).
Very detailed installation instructions, I used the sprayed water technique suggested for warmer weather applications and it worked like a charm! Didn't expect to get the squeegee included with the decals, but that's a nice touch and makes the application pretty much turn-key.
    Thanks again, great product!
One question, any minimum time required before applying wax?

Any suggestions on which color for a driftwood pearl? I did notice in the Prius shop that custom colors are available.

Several people on another thread say it is taking months to get the decals. It is almost a month since my order. No decals, no response to my emails. Priuschat Acceressories service is lame.

I received my decal in a fair amount of time, the only problem is I can't find the directions so if anyone who has put the priuschat.com decal on , would you either email me or respond to this old, old, old thread and let me know how to get them on. I would like to get the word out.
    Thanks in advance
