What is your favorite color for the MFD. The Grey matches the interior of my car nicely, the blue is more startling, the green makes the Consumption screen bars a sickly color and the beige is very calming. What's your favorite?

Well, being a Virginia Tech Hokie, I feel obliged to keep the screen orange. I actually kind of like it!
Mine is blue, since the car is Seaside Pearl. I didn't like the beige, although it does go well with the bisque interior.

i had the blue for a similar reason to p21... but played around and decided the beige went well with my interior so i switched to that.
My current favorite color is Orange because it matches with my woodtrim. Excuse my reflection on the radio -- I just realized it, now that I upgraded to LCD monitor. Wow, the contrast in the old CRT must be really bad. Pics were posted on another thread so if you've seen them already .... skip them. Dennis

I'm curious . . . Did Toyota take into account color blind people with the color schemes for the MFD? Any color blind PriusChatters have an opinion?

Anything green looks grey to him and anything red looks orange. He can see different shades of green as lighter or darker grey or lighter or darker red. He is an auto mechanic and has no trouble with wiring...he has learned to compensate. I would guess he would see the green screen as black and white and the orange screen would look orange to him. I will ask him to look at the display and tell me what he sees the next time I see him.

Also, the two-color choice you get now isn't really for the full background; instead, the background (depending upon the screen) is mostly dark/black, and the orange or green is the outlines of the buttons, etc.
We try to alternate between them every few months to keep it more interesting. Probably the best IMO is the blue, but it would get old after too long.
