Has anyone ever de-badged the front fenders?

I feel that the lines of the Prius Prime is a lot smoother.

Has anyone else on this forum done the same thing?

The emblem didn’t go to waste though… I stuck it on the wall next to the charger…

Those badges help emergency personnel know they are dealing with a high voltage vehicle.

While I'd normally agree with this type of concern, in the year 2018 you'd have to be a complete idiot to NOT know that a Toyota
    Prius has a battery.

Toyota is trying to make the Prius and Prime look more like other cars. If debadged how do you quickly identify a hybrid Camry or RAV4 for instance.
Emergency workers are not required to keep abreast of all new car models.

First, I hear what you're saying concerning safety... there's certainly nothing wrong with advocating safety.

Though I needed to wait on my response because of the call I placed to my firefighter friend, here's what I asked:

"Do firefighters know what a Prius is & that they have a battery" His answer was Yes & Yes.

"Do you always remember to carry your glasses with you, can you read things if you forget them" His answer was he sometimes
forgets his glasses & no he can't read without them.

I debadged mine. It looks a lot smoother. I also painted the front emblem and blacked the back one.

Side note, it's not illegal and we have no obligation to keep all the crap emblems stuck to our car. Leave your's if you're worried about wrecking your car.

I did a custom design over the thin layer of Plasti Dip with touch-up paint pen for the car then did another layer with clear coat Plasti Dip.

Also I used thick dental floss and a warm summer day. Heat gun/hair drier would have made it faster(but more risky in terms of damage) but I didn't have one on hand at the time. Then I used WD-40 and Goo gone to clean it up.

What’s the “Y” signify? Or is it just for design?

The "Y" is just a design I did and liked. It's pretty simple. It's not perfect because I did it freehand.

Does it interfere with the radar? Or did you do less coats?

No. The first time I painted it, it was too thick and threw errors when you turned the car on. The second time I only put a layer of black just thick enough to hide the Toyota logo. The other two were also very thin. No problems with them being that thin. :)

Looking forward to what you’re doing… Can I be able to take a guess?

You’re going to put this emoji on the front end right?

I just got done yesterday putting the calipers in red.
