Purchasing what? I want to do mine but haven't come up with a plan of action yet. What materials would you use on it? I wouldn't want to do any that require physically damaging the lights by abrading them or permanently painting them with smoked paint.
He may be referring to a tinted film. I know that's how it's often done. It is, of course, illegal. If someone with tinted tail lights gets rear-ended, it could easily be used to shift liability.
Light smoke on my GEN 3. Holding up well. Not the best but here are some old pictures. Since it’s light tint, it’s still really bright.
@SaraBBrown94 , it’s beem awhile but they are a very light tint. I would say 50% or lighter. Just enough so it’s less flashy.
@Insighter , these are original to the car. They are 17 Inch Persona wheels that came with the Persona Edition. Definitely not covers.
