I appreciate the irreverence here, and the dedication of labor hours. What is the overall hit to fuel economy tho?

I’m guessing he’s averaging around 38-41mpg still. I was on my 19s - right at 40.5 - Roughly 8% mpg loss... not too bad.

Thanks for that info. I just picked up am '07 Prius & was worried I'd be forever stuck with the stock wheels to get 40+ MPG. Now my used wheel hunt begins!

if you get light wheels not stupid oversized, you should be able to get closer to 50mpg summer.

It depends on how I drive and what I have on the car. For example, when I first got the wheels on I was still averaging 45-50 mpgs. Toss on a roof rack+basket, bigger lip and a diffuser and I started getting around 35-45 mpgs. Turn on ac? Anywhere from 30-35. I also started driving with my engine brake almost constantly on(to help brake and dodge potholes, also because it sounds better with my exhaust) My current average is 28mpg but on highways it dips to around 21, probably due to the increased wind resistance and added weight. Just two of the wheels are heavier than all the oem wheels. Add the spare as well as the roof rack and it's no wonder. I don't mind at all, mpgs have never been a big deal for me. I'm more of a form over function kinda guy. Plus the Prius still gets better mpgs than my benz(averaging around 10mpg) so I don't mind the halving of the mpgs. When I had my 17' xxrs on I actually got better mpgs than on stock wheels. I was averaging 50mpg on the xxrs while 45 on the oems. Hope this helps

I'd bet it was the rack more than anything else - the front lip should actually increase your mileage.

Surprisingly low...and your right, great fitment stance for coilovers. As always, appreciate the effort you put into your car regardless the status quo...definitely not a typical Prius driver. Nicely done.

At what point do you think you'll switch to bags so you can lift and slam your car in an instant? Would help with your offroad/stance adventures...

The cherry branch/blossoms are a great touch.

And your seasonal themes are always amazing.

How are the nudes coming along, any action as of late?
I can. Though personally would only want an extra 2"- 6" inches of clearance all around.

Might be stuck with adding spacers and wheels/tires for an extra 5" like : Lifted Prius

Would need better struts and shocks, no sense in burning up street gear if something heavy duty can be interchanged.

Now if we could find a Russian/Mongolian off-road Prius club/shop for possible interchange part # etc

Wow, that widebody is coming out pretty awesome! Great work and thanks for the step by step on how you did it. I might tackle something like that for my Gen 3.
