Although not exactly a record, I had to tell those who appreciate such things. My weekly commute is exactly 600 miles, 120 miles each day. So for the last 600 miles I have averaged 52.7 MPG. 40 of the 120 daily miles are local and semi highway miles, the balance of 80 is on the Long Island Expressway, fortunately for the most part in the HOV lane, thanks to Toyota. I am pleased to be a part of this group of folks clearly of high intellect, financially savy, environmentally concerned and good looking (well not sure about that descriptor). Good for US ALL. Ed

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Jack Kelly @ Jul 27 2006, 01:32 PM) </div> You described me as well... Good job on the mileage, and keep up the good work! Doesn't it feel good to only have to fill up the tank to the tune of 9-10 gallons per every ~500 or so miles??
Welcome, another LIE commuter. Do you use East or West bound to work? If you take East bound, you'll see me. Dennis
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Lil Mo @ Jul 27 2006, 07:31 PM) </div> Dennis, I travel West each a.m from 20 miles East of the Eastern end of the Expressway, from Southold to Brentwood, about 57 miles each way. I travel on the "least worst" part of the Expressway; sounds like you are on the truly WORST part of the LIE. Regards, Ed

Beauty may or may not be in the eye of the beholder, but all them beholders gotta be BLIND if they (and YOU) can't see that, OF COURSE all Prius drivers are incredibly good looking...maybe some of us do better staying INSIDE the car...but still...SMUG doesn't even BEGIN to cover it!
