Check for any accident repairs, overspray, different shades of colour, different paint finish (gloss) etc.

That's not necessarily a deal breaker, but yeah.

    More a bargaining tool.
One wonders why the car is not dealer certified though ?

They said they could certify it but it looks like there might be a cost. I'll check when I go this weekend.

What would be the premium I should pay for a toyota certified car according to you guys?

2016 didn't come with TSS-P, but may have certain parts of it as options, depending on trim. Example if it's a Three with Advanced Tech Package, check to see if it has DRCC, LKA, auto high beams. If it doesn't have HUD and moonroof, it won't be the ATP.

It's not necessarily "comfortably" - I've had 5 adults in my FIESTA, which is narrower than PRIUS - those in the back were probably not comfortable, but they didn't complain - it was better than 5km walk in the rain (or hot sun another time).

Only having 4 seats, unusual in a hatchback, can be a deal-breaker for many. 99% of the time, it's only me - but on the odd occasion I need the extras (like 4 grandchildren) it would mean I have to leave one behind.

Maybe - depends on what the repair was. A minor scrape in a carpark and repaired - is a different matter from one which was close to a write-off and repaired.

When I was growing up most cars had six seats. In fact through 2004 the Toyota Avalon had that as an option. When cars went to five seats, people who needed six seats because of family size, or who wanted to continue to be able to carry six adults for short trips, no longer could purchase a sedan or even a small SUV but had to get a minivan or a full size SUV.

For now anyway someone who needs or wants five seats will need to get the liftback Prius. It will be interesting to see if eventually Toyota will have a five seat Prime, or maybe by then they will have plug in minivans and crossovers and they will keep the Prime as is.

:D Five people? That's nothin'. I once had 12 people in a 2-door 1st generation Isuzu Trooper when we lived in Honduras. When everyone got out, it looked like a circus clown act. LOL!

Here's a link with pictures, if you're not familiar with them. They were pretty rare, I guess. 86 Isuzu Trooper 2 Door For Sale | Old Ads Classifieds | The Outdoors Trader

PS. I don't think that would even be close to legal in this country.

We had them in Australia - most I saw were 4 door, and called a HOLDEN Jackaroo. Guys who had them reckoned they were great. Ours never held 12 people :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.

Looks like it's a four touring. What special features does the touring have compared to the four??

The Brits (and others maybe) use to have competitions to see how may people could fit into a MK1 Austin Mini or the equivalent Morris 7. Can't remember who took the record, or how many got in...
.. but it was more than you might expect.

I had a 1989 Trooper RS. It was a POS. A/C compressor bracket snapped in half one day while driving. Good times, good times...

As an aside, we crammed 13 of us in an old VW bug just for kicks. I had the luxury of getting right below the rear window.
