How's it going, I moved farther away from my work so needed a vehicle with better GM. We had a used Prius come in that I was able to get but not sure exactly what model it is. According to VIN decoder it is
2010 Toyota Prius 5dr HB II (Natl). On here it says that gen 2 ends at 2009. Is that so? Thanks, looking forward to learning more about it to make sure it lasts as long as I can. So far I'm loving it.

It would show up if you plugged your VIN in to Toyota Info System. Some repair sites will ask for that as well when finding your specific model. Its weird and I dont even have a huge idea how they justify what package you have lol.

"II" is a trim level for 2010. All 2010s are Gen 3. My first Prius was also a model year 2010, trim II.

Later years did not use Roman numerals to specify trim levels, but instead used Arabic numerals, or spelled out words. But not both for any given year.

Toyota's trim level 'pattern' was a mess, and had caused buyer confusion, such as between the 2010-V (a liftback) and the 2012-2015-'v' (the wagon- or minivan-like model).

Then I guess I could prove it if I had the VIN.

You don't need the VIN. Just answer a few questions about features/specs and we can determine what it is lol.
