 Maybe that explains how a 5 year old battery would have these problems.

Just like in real estate, location is everything. Nice catch, @bisco. ;)

I would say that, if you can manage it at all, at least get the Prolong charger with manual discharge system along with a couple new modules from HA. Just the modules will probably get it running but will generate more cost and work in the long run, not to mention the likelihood of standing beside a dead car on a dark rainy night wondering what to do next.

Flights to Mars start just two years down the road and Asia is nothing. I am from LA and will be in Sri Lanka until May 2019 on an assignment. No warranties here. Surprisingly there is a Toyota owned repair facility 2 miles down the street. They only replace with new batteries. I need to use it for another year and sell it. swapping modules is only option. There are numerous places doing battery repair and conditioning. Not sure they know what they are doing.

Did you import your 2013 Prius from the US or buy it locally?

Direct import from Japan used car hence no warranty and no guarantee of mileage.

This thread was very helpful. Can you help me to get 4 modules shipped to new York. What is the cost of the Charging system?

Can someone tell me if I need to replace those two modules that show 13.99? I just need to keep this simpler and what will happen if I just replace the one module that show 12.6?

I believe if the pack has voltages that differ by more than 0.2 volts, it’s a sign of weak cells:(.

From how your pack looks (lower in the middle and higher on the outside) that heat has taken a toll on the pack. Seeing that spread, you might have more than 3 modules that have issues. But for sure replacing the one at 12.3 volts needs to be done;).

    Good luck (y).

Why isn't this battery covered under the hybrid system warranty?

[Edit] Sorry everybody! I usually read threads more thoroughly before weighing in.

Because it's actually in Sri Lanka, not CA.
