Well, I went ahead and did it. Bought me a used 2012 Prius V in top shape and with a little over 100K miles. I wasn't thinking of a Prius originally because I need to haul my drum set from time to time. But then I looked at the cargo space of the V version and I was hooked. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from y'all, so that I can give Lil' Red the TLC that she deserves. Thank you for that privilege.
Wow great pictures! Congratulations on the v! I also had a 2012 v. Btw I live in cool springs! Howdy neighbor!
Welcome to PriusChat, I hope you enjoy your Prius as much as i have mine. I wish I could have got Red, from a safety standpoint. My wife's niece lives in Nashville, we visit every other year. Excellent views, MPG on the Trace
Nice color. I used to play drums in a rock band. A 5 piece pearl with a ziljans, 16” crash; 18” ride and 14” high hat. Enjoy the ride.
Nice color. Our 2016 Prius v Three color is Absolutely Red and my wife calls it the Crimson Comet. Not sure about that name but the MPG is great considering the cargo space...LOL...
Thank you, Aaron Vitolins. I'm closer to the Madison area. Glad to meet another Prius owner in the Nashville area. And thank you, JimboPalmer. I ride a motorcycle as well, and visibility is an important factor. For both two and four wheels. Pearl and Zildjian are two of the top brands, Cptvictor03. You have great taste. in cars and drum equipment. I was amazed at how much cargo space there can be inside a Prius, Sooner Al. Great mileage and great cargo; a winning combination for the V model. Thanks for the helpful link too.
I bought a generic cargo mat off ebay and use it 'backwards' over the rear seats so my cargo does not shift. I bought my wife a 'motorcycle' blinking LED brake light for her anti-prius. (Back in the day, I rode a Yamaha RD400 pocket rocket)
I just got my 2009 Prius a month ago..I love it & I live in Antioch! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Wanda, Welcome to PriusChat! I hope you enjoy your prius as much as i did mine! I had a wonderful 2009 trim 5, until a Semi ran a red light and the trailer wheels drug me a couple blocks, at 113 k miles. I was not injured and the cab retained its shape, but the front wheels were detached and the insurance totaled it over the phone. Be careful out there!
welcome and howdy you neighbors as well. Let's give props to Nolensville too - next door neighbor's of Nashville & the hoydie-toydie folks in Franklin. If we'd have bought there, then there'd be no tesla in the garage. .
Well hey! Isn't this great getting to know some local Priuschatters! Haha oh hoydie-toydie franklin .. I love nolensville btw!
Wow! Look at all the people with great taste (Prius owners) who are coming out of the woodwork. ^_^ Thank you bisco, Wanda R., and hill as well. And congrats to you too, Wanda R.. I knew that there was something else that was special about you, JimboPalmer. I left behind my 2006 Suzuki GS500F in Las Vegas in the process of relocating to Nashville. I only had two weeks to report at my new job here and couldn't manage to bring her. Do I see the makings of a future Tennessee gathering of fellow Prius owners here? ^_^
Franklin is at least 5 hours and over 5.5 hours via the Trace which I prefer, so I am likely not going to make it. (unless my wife has a building to design, she did some architecture for USDA at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green 4 years ago)
That would be fun! My daily driver is actually a ford C-max Hybrid. I have a Project 2004 prius but it isn't really drivable right now. Maybe I could bring my old 2005 prius that my brother now drives.. It has over 300,000 miles! !
A belated welcome from UK also, but I still have my Susie GS500 in my garage. Not seen use for past 18 years, though.
