I am selling my 2007. Second owner, 277k+ Miles. Recently installed reclaimed Battery by forum member TMR-JWAP. (Around 10k miles on it) we also did the trans fluid change then. Recently got all the brake system lights and Toyota diagnosed as the ABS pump, as I suspected. I bought a 2012 so this one has to go. All service records up until I did the work myself. Interior is still good. People are always shocked it’s a 2007. No dents. New headlights, new evaporator core, good tires. Only one key fob. One missing wheel cover. MID is off calibration. White with grey interior. JBL. Custom Sirius installation. All manuals etc. Make me an offer. I’m in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Vin - JTDKB20U077629454
I’m having zero luck selling this car and don’t have a place to store it long term to part it out. Anyone have any advice on how I should price it? Should I do the repair first? Ugh.
Hey man! Have you had the brake actuator recalled under Toyota's extended warranty programs? It's a very expensive part and Toyota basically admitted problems with it and extended the warranty out for a few years. Not saying you don't have ABS problems but I have never heard of that in a Toyota Prius, and I have heard of brake actuator problems
It is the brake actuator. I thought abs was the same thing. And sadly, the enhanced warranty ran out in December. Sux.
So I just did this repair on another prius and may be willing to do it again. How much would you sell it for? I would need a real bargain... Does it currently drive at all?
Not to many people are looking for a car that has to be fixed. Unfortunately your car isn't worth a lot. My advice would be to get some good pictures and post them here and on craigslist. Plus consider fixing it before selling it. I also have a 2007 and I know they are not selling for much these days. Good luck, Glenn
