I think the wheels look great. I'm going off of memory here, so I could be wrong: Didn't you have stock wheels before (without the plastic hubcap) and still have fuel economy in the mid 40's?

 nah I need the spare tire just in case I need it. You might never know.

Ya it was running like 42’s. It was 17’s replica wheels. My wheels now they are only 14 lbs each with no tire.

We have the 17" OEM porker rims, my back complains every time I heft those suckers on. The rim alone is around 24 pounds, and the 17" tires are heavier as well. I can really tell the difference, vs the putting on the 15" snow tires on Corolla steel rims.

I keep the bottom grill fully blocked all year. It has to be pretty hot before I pull any of the pieces blocking the top grill. If you are keeping the top open I wouldn't expect to see "high" engine or inverter coolant temps.

Are you monitoring temps, say with ScanGauge?

Ok so I tried to put one foam today on the top part of the bottom grill just for testing waters. I got home and it was a 2.5 mpg jump from my previous full tank. It says I have driven 95 miles so far and 48.5 mpg from my previous 46 mpg 2 days ago. It works. No signs of a warning light on my dashboard. I’ll leave it here for 2 more days to see what happens. 5CDC659F-43B6-4601-B1FF-72528F122880.jpeg
