Scraping/Squealing noise

    Odd noise from my wife's 2005 - youtube video in the link above. Just over 108k miles. Any ideas?

    Runs true, also - no deviations from side to side on any of the pulleys.

    Thanks for the welcome! And yes - belt seems ok. No cracks, not dried out.

    Correct, only with the engine running - nothing heard otherwise.

    are there radiator cooling fans? i can't remember.

    There are, but the sound seems to come from further back of them - closer to the belt.

    have you looked underneath? maybe some of the plastic cowling is vibrating.

    Just double-checked for pulley movement, now I'm seeing quite a bit of movement out of the water pump pulley. Tightened bolts on top, still saw the movement - could a bad bearing be the cause? Seems like that could produce that noise, right?

    Just to follow up, that was the culprit! The internal fins had started to grind, hence the noise. Replaced the whole pump.
