Hello, I am new to the forum. I am interested in picking up a Prius Prime soon. I was quoted $27800 OTD in the Bay Area for the base Plus model around November last year using Costco program. Is this a good price?

I feel the same way. I have been watching prices since last Memorial day. No changes in prices. I tried pricing between the dealerships and no one was interested in beating anyone.

I would try Redland's Toyota. Their internet department is very prompt and very willing to make a sale versus the larger Toyota dealers in Southern California. Almost got the Prius Plus for $24k, which was about $300 to $500 better than any other dealership. I thought I had more time with the President's day $2k cashback. You can get low 2% interest with a credit union if taking the cashback is better for you

Actually the sale price is $24900 plus sale tax, doc fee, registration fee ~=$27800 out the door. Price Sounds fair?

Looks like a fair price. The best price i was able to get for the Plus was $24k at Redland's while everyone else is at ~$24.4k and this was after the $2k cashback from Toyota. Now prices are back to the mid $25ks with the cash back at $1k

Not top secret. I just answered a pm request that I received. I didn't put the dealer name because I wanted to give the salesperson that worked with me the credit. I have not asked him if he is ok with me posting his name on a public forum. No conspiracy, just respect of someones privacy, thats all.

Hey folks I'm being offered a Prius Prime Premium for 26262 in socal.
Which comes out to 28840.02 out the door.
Wondering if I should go for it or wait for march to see if Toyota offers a better rebate.

So stop the bus! I live in Wisconsin and there is no dealing here, or stock on dealer lots. You can order if you want to wait for months. I did some searching nation wide and found NJ and NY had $3500 Toyota rebates going on so I did internet quotes to see how well I could do. In August I bought a ‘17 Prime Premium from NJ and the numbers are as follows rounded off:
    Prius Prime Premium $30,000
    - $3500 Toyota Rebate
    -$2000 dealer discount
-$4500 Federal tax credit (if you are eligible)
    Plus tax, title and license-
So about $10,000 off after everything goes through in the end.

Just checked and currently the 2017’s are eligible for a $4000 Toyota rebate for the month of February 2018 in NJ and NY. I also checked dealer stock. I saw 30 available at one dealer alone! Select your model and color. Do internet quotes and fly in and drive home! Save $10,000 or more with little effort.

There have been a number of people I know in Wisconsin, Florida and other states that did this exactly. An older gentleman I know did this and had it trucked home still saving a bundle! Worth the effort folks!

That looks like a smokn' deal Prius man! I have a deal sitting on the table for a PP Premium- price $25,343 before taxes. I asked for a quote through my credit union, Wescom, and they came back to me with a pretty good price here. I live in Santa Barbara California. So Southern California (the land of every other car you see is a Prius) price good I think especially with the $4500 rebate from the feds and $1500 rebate from the state. Not sure I can do much better by buying it on the East Coast and shipping it or flying out n driving it back. Opinions?
