Heads up LA That's not a UFO!! Elon's up early this morning launching out of Vandy. I think that's 47/49 with another launch slated for 25 Feb, WX permitting. That will be three launches in a short month for Space-X!
I was at work in Hollywood watching the feed from Vandenberg at 5a today, launch went off at a little after 6a, watched for exactly 20 sec, yelled to my shop partner, let's get outside. As I cleared the door, I looked west, bam, there it was, just clearing the horizon! Nice tail flame, saw the MECO, and separation. 2nd stage ignition... what a great way to start the morning!! Sadly I did not get pics..... next time!!
