I am Sacramento area and got 2 quotes for premium through truecar. Both $4000 off sticker price including $1500 cash back.

With CA rebate, Federal tax return and PG&E $500 rebate, that’s a great deal.

That absolutely is! What are you looking at? Around $26,000? I would’ve flown up to make a deal up there had I known!

There’s HOV lanes everywhere out here. You have less in parts of course, but with so many freeways larger than 2-3 lanes a side, they add in HOV on most.

Yes final price would be $20300+fees. But my favorite dealer does not the have premium with the color we like. I am asking my wife if the base model is fine with her. I prefer knobs over LCD screen control, but wife prefer "leather" seats. Plus auto on headlight is really preferred as she is used to it. Wireless Qi charging is not important at all give the 0.4A charge current.

I'm breaking the rules a little... not price paid but Toyota Build and Price numbers... I'd like opinions on what
people think "dealer fees" should be (ballpark). These Primes will be among the first to arrive in BC and I have a feeling there will not be much give in the prices. In a few weeks we'll be "in the box" trying to establish the drive away price and I'd benefit more from advice before rather than cheers or tears afterward.

    Prius Plus Titanium Glow (Silver)
    No accessories or add ons
    MSRP 32990
0 incentives (might be something we could try for from dealer)
    Freight $1715
    AC charge $100
    tire levy $25
    GST 5% $1741
    PST 7% $2438
    Total $39509
    Dealer Fees not included
    BC Gov Rebate $2500
I expect then the drive away price will be in the neighborhood of $37,500.00, dealer fees included.

I got Plus because of physical controls. But if I do it again, I may consider to get the Premium where soft-tex seat looks much better than cloth.

Can I ask what the final price pre tax/fees and pre state/Fed credit you were quoted for the Prime Premium.
I am in SoCal and just started searching and have found Plus for $24,680 and Premium for $26,399.......these prices do not include tax/fees or the CA $1,500 & $4,500 Fed tax credits

Also Mr. Travis64, try a credit union; they're much more reasonable than most banks. Congrats & Good Luck. Welcome to PriusChat!

Awesome! I am off the 91 at Tustin. Just before the 55/91 interchange.

I am curious where you charge around here? I charge each night at home with a 40 mile round trip to work I get more than half on EV. I have charged a few times while at Disneyland but other than that, it is tough. I need to get my work to allow me to plug in using my 110 cable.

I definitely love the HOV sticker and am really happy that they are extending it for those of us who bought an PHEV in 2017. It really helps with my commute down the 91W.

    Thank you for the welcome!

JT, if you can, use the ChargePoint app on your phone to locate charge stations near a particular address/destination; some are free, but it'll take about an extra hour to give yourself that additional range; you'll need to trial/error to be more precise. Also, if you can stand it, drive with the slower-moving peasants to really increase your range. You could try locating a charge station near your work, but ideally, your work can help you get charged with at least a 110volt outlet. The State and many local communities now offer businesses incentives to set up charging for employees! Good luck.

I have been lurking on the boards for awhile and am hopefully going to purchase a prius prime this memorial day.

How did you get that price? The best I can get from them was e-Price: $25,117

What dealer is this at? The best price quote I can get from Longo is "Your VIP Price Way South Of Invoice $25,168.88 After $1000 Rebate"

    Thanks in advance

How do you get a VIP Price from Longo - I'd take that deal in socal in a heartbeat. I got an "Express Deal" on their website and it was $750 off MSRP plus the $1000 rebate - no where near your VIP price.

What is the New York State discount? Is that a tax credit? And the dealer discount and Toyota discounts are distinct and separate discounts?

We got a Prime Premium on Jan 15, 2018 in Eugene, Oregon as follows
Retail = 30,240 (all weather mats, tinted windows)
Purchase Price = $26,000 (plus license, title and Oregon's new 1/2% new car sales tax)
I don't know where the "discounts" came from e.g. "Toyota," "dealer" or whatever.
My advice is to start negotiation from a best estimate of dealer cost.
