I just bought my 2006 Prius last week. I registered the bluetooth using my Treo 650. It was working fine up until now. The phonebook even transfered. Every now and then I had to re-register the signal. I now cannot get a connection. My phone shows as connected, but my Prius is not connecting. Any suggestions ? David

It includes, "a Bluetooth Carkit: drivers are now included in ROM (previously released as Carkit Update for Treo 650)". Google Treo updates and you'll be directed to the link. If you've never done a Treo update, be sure to perform a hotsync first. The instructions are a bit cumbersome, but pay off in better connectivity to the car. Just be sure to back up your contacts first (HotSync that bad boy). good luck.

I have the Verizon 650 and I updated it months ago with the latest 1.04 update.

For some reason this seems to complete the connection sequence and the car and phone are mated.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(david1965 @ Jul 22 2006, 09:34 PM) </div> Does your phone connect with other bluetooth devices? I rented a Prius before I bought and it connected w/ my Verizon Treo and worked great. Dealer wanted to trade rental cars with me so I deleted the connection info from the car and from the phone. The trade didn't go through and when I tried to reconnect the phone read the car but the car didn't read the phone. No connection with the car I purchased. I found somebody who has bluetooth connection with a computer and tried to connect and the computer indicated that basically my phone wasn't sending a functioning signal. No connection with bluetooth headset either. (I didn't have any bluetooth items except the Prius connection). Verizon said that I needed to call PalmOne Tech support. I did and I think I got an out of US support tech. Didn't seem to know what a Prius was. She read from a list of cars and said that the Prius and Treo won't connect and that was why I couldn't connect. She even hinted that I might not of had a connection the first time because her list said that it wasn't supported. (I did the above tests after talking to tech support). I'm going to try tech support again and hopefully get some further help. I think I'm going to have to reset and reload my software but I want to check with Tech support 1st. Hope this is a little helpful. I'll get back on progress. Please let me know how you do.

It connected for 2 calls, but the display said I had no connection. I couldn't take incoming calls thru car. I have had a good connection before and had none of these issues. But thanks for the tip. It helped me verify that my new car's system kinda works. (I think I have a corrupted program on the treo).
