I had heard about this partnership, and I recently tried to use my ChargePoint card at a Blink station, and it was not recognized. I really wanted the charge, so I went to the Blink website on my smartphone, and managed to set up a one-time credit card session.

If someone has to enter VIN to get $100 credit. Once your old card expires, can you activate 2nd card with your VIN?

I hope I can help! Currently, we do show Blink stations on our maps as a convenience for drivers, however, you will need a separate account. :)

The card doesn't expire it's tied to the account. It just becomes your ID. Doesn't really matter what EV you use it on.

Sorry my mistake my question is not clear enough. What I tried to ask is that if I get a new complimentary card which has never been activated. I already used my VIN to activated my old card. Can I use my VIN to activate a new card?

I don't have a new VIN. So there is no point to buy a new complimentary card unless seller give you his/her VIN or activate for you already.

Hi @ArcPrime! Apologies for missing your previous post! The credit is not transferable so you would need to enter your unique Prius Prime VIN to claim the credit and a VIN can only be entered once. :)

I just signed up for the offer, but i'm seeing that virtually all the charging stations in my area are free anyways.

Has anyone successfully sold there $100 complimentary card to another interested party? Almost every Chargepoint station in my region is free.

I’m trying to figure out if this would work. The $100 promo is tied to your VIN. If I sold it, I wonder if I would have to wait until the buyer used up the $100 credit (or 100 days, whichever comes first) before I could request a new RFID card and the ability to start using the free stations (since the RFID chip is required to unlock the station).

    Thoughts?

Disregard my post above. I went ahead and activated my card and am keeping it for myself. I've already used a few free CP stations and their website and app are fun to use. I'm already planning errands and places to eat based off charger locations.

My trial expired yesterday with exactly $100.00 left on it. In 100 days and covering 5 states I was never abe to find a ChargePoint charger at a destination that was both working and not free, and it wasn't for a lack of effort.

  13. Glad to have this reference. I asked my dealer and mentioned this thread, but they were not aware of ChargePoint, and said that it might be only a European thing. Nonetheless, amongst all of the booklets I found in the glove compartment was a ChargePoint card, and there's a Level 2 station very close to where I live.

Just activated my card. It says
    $100.00 Balance
    $0.00 ChargePoint
    $100.00 *Toyota
    *Expires Jan 07, 2018

but I should ignore that and expect the expiration is actually 100 days from today, yes?

ok, never mind, it was 9/29 already east coast time, so Jan 7, 2018 is 100 days.

The city nearest me has 16 (!!) FREE ChargePoint charging stations. It is fun to use one if you can find one close to where you are going anyway.
