Seller and distributor have all the same looking batteries they say and that I will not find one any better looking anywhere.
I have. The manufacturer said I need to get an exchange through the company that sold it to me and not the manufacturer.
The battery in the pictures was shipped to you, by Bigtime battery, recently? Just trying to understand the specifics. Maybe they precharge batteries before selling, and their charger is not suitable, to powerful? If you have it on hand, maybe get it checked by a local automotive store that has an electronic load tester, see what the results are. You can do DIY this with Solar BA5 or similar.
Was shipped like that recently. Idont know if their chargers are too powerful since I dont think they charge them if their whole stock and their distributors stock looks like this too. The manufacturer told me this recently:
Get it electronically load tested, and if it's fine: take them at their word? This is a decent DIY level tester:
Maybe they heat weld the cap to the case, the marks are just collateral damage from that process? Ours is the Optima yellow top too, I could take a look. Missus is out and about at the moment tho.
Spot on and good eye Mendel! I can only say I know this because it's the current field I'm employed in. (though we don't manufacture for Optima). If the battery were black like 99% of the rest of them on the market it probably would have never been noticed.
Spot-on, but this is ours, no burnt spots: Could still be just a misadjustment in the manufacturing process, and the battery's fine, functionally.
