EV button!!! Last time I read Lectricar's thread, he was still having unanticipated problems obtaining the parts.
I bought that kit Paul Demmitt sells. In it he has two PRIUS stickers just on their own. I put them on the back and fron on the top center of the windows. It was only $15 for the kit, and those come with it too. Then the Rear bumper guard is at the dealer for only ~$60 or something.
See HtmlSpinner's article. And though it doesn't appear so in my browser, that last sentence is a link

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Speedracer\";p=\"25587)</div> Being a neophyte in some of this here Prius stuff, what exactly is "Tom's Exhaust" and who the heck is Tom?
override switch Steve Goldberg, what switch would I use from radio shack to disable the speed override on the GPS?
Re: override switch <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(SyZyGy\";p=\"46076)</div> I'm not Steve, but have you looked for/read the following? http://priuschat.com/forums/kb.php?mode=ar...25d484e5f0d0fe4 Also, if you do a search under "speed sensor defeat" you should get some very informative hits of improvements to even that write up.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Speedracer\";p=\"25587)</div> Lowering springs sound interesting. Any idea what the difference is between the 15" and 16" spring? Thank you for your efforts, Pino
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Steve Goldenberg\";p=\"27322)</div> This sounds interesting. What Mitsu is the rear arm off of? It cheeses me off that Toyota used a piddly little 16" blade on the rear of the Prius, when there is room for a 19-20", gaining more visibility. I had considered hitting the local Toyota dealership and shopping their new cars/vans to see if there was an arm that might work, but haven't had the time.
Tom, I picked up a Mitsu Outlander ('04) rear wiper arm thinking this was to one but it's the same length as the arm on my '05 Prius and, the blade is actually shorter! Unless they ordered me the wrong arm... I'm going to do the same and look around on a Toyota dealership's lot next week and see what will work.... Cheers, -bob
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bobc\";p=\"70617)</div> Bob, have you looked into using PIAA silicone wipers? I can get you a 20" to try on. They last the ultimate longest (when compared to Microedge & even OEM), the ones on my 4Runner are 2-year-old now. And I live in the snowy icy NE as you know. Any reasons to up the size of the front wipers too? I am just wondering.
I totally agree.....check out the P* in my Sig.......It appears to have been lowered and I really like the "mooney" type hubcaps and the graphics..... I have yet to purchase my P* but.........I am really attracted to the look of the car in my sig! I'll update my progress on my purchase and then my "quest" for mods! I am currently lined up with a local dealer here in Orange County, CA with a deal $700 below MSRP for a #6. ps.....I joined the my local "usergroup" here in OC however I don't see any additional or added forums available for me to access? What do I need to look for? Thanks
Hi Aerometer, Thanks for the offer on the wiper blades. I'll keep that in mind but first, I need to find a wiper arm that fits and then I'll look at replacement blades once I know the length. Anyone else out there try the Outlander arm? I remember a post that this was the one to use for the mod but it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if they just ordered me the wrong one. I've returned it already so there's no checking now. Cheers, -bob
