If someone has access to a link that has an updated list of the 2006 Navigation Voice commands, I would greatly appreciate it. I will update the post in the "override the nav system" thread, as this gives drivers for the time being a great option to use NAV while the car is in motion. Thanks!
I second this request. Looking around, I can only find lists for 2004 and 2005 models. Actually, upon further inspection, my 2005 list is just a 2004 with graphics and a posting date of 2005. An up-to-date list for the 2006 models would be greatly appreciated. Also, welcome to the boards, Greenfoot. I've participated in a couple of your threads but have never actually greeted you. I must, however, ask that you try and refrain from typing in all capital letters. I understand you're excited about several topics -- the Prius is a great car to be excited over -- but when you type in all capital letters you're generally signifying that you're "shouting" or angry or in some other situation where you feel you must voice your opinion louder than anyone elses. Granted, you haven't done it often, but most of your new Thread Titles have been in all capitals. Perhaps I'm just being nit-picky. There is another issue with the posting of the same information multiple times in multiple threads (and in multiple subforums) that I wish to address, but I will do so where appropriate. Other than that, happy chatting. We're glad to have someone as enthusiastic as you onboard.

The navigation system voice recognition feature will compare your spoken words with computer-generated word patterns preprogrammed in the system database. If the system does not provide your intended match, please try a different pronunciation. Voice activation names are not available for every street and city. Please see the Tips for Using Voice Recognition section on page 5 for more information about this feature.
Ah yes, I got that in the Quick Reference guide as well, but as we all know that is not the complete list. Granted, many of the other commands do the same thing as those already on the list (such as "I'm hungry," listing resturants) but I would still like to know what they are. There are also unique commands such as "Delete Next Destination" that work but aren't included in the Quick Reference. Thanks for typing it out though, Rancid13. Also, on a lot of the lists already out there, they mention a "Screen Off" command. It doesn't quite work for me. Has anyone else tried it or know if they've removed it? (Or maybe it wasn't a real command to begin with )
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Manksgloob @ Jun 2 2006, 02:42 PM) </div> I swear I got it to work ONE time when I first got my car but I cant seem to get it to work now. Keeps replying with ski resort or something.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Greenfoot @ Jun 2 2006, 12:29 PM) </div> Here's a list of what was added for 2006 that I got off of one of the Prius discussion groups I used to frequent. I have no idea who Ron is to credit for this collection: ******************************Begin quoted material ************************************** Thanks Ron. Previously we knew there were new voice commands for setting NAV destination and dialing the telephone. From your efforts it looks like the new voice commands are: Set Destination by nearest POI: > Nearest + (POI category) > Show list Set Destination by Address: > Address > Change state > Change city > Change street > Next Candidate > Change house number Telephone dial > Dial by Name > Dial by Number Telephone Dial by name tag > (Name) > Next Candidate > Dial Telephone Dial by number > (any number) > Correction > Delete > Dial There were many '05 commands missing from your lists, but I believe they are still there. Attached find the previous editions of the voice command lists. ***************************** End quoted material ****************************************** If you add this to the 2004/2005 PDF file floating around on Prius chat, you should have a complete list. Let me know if you need the PDF as I have a copy of that as well. However, someone posted a link to it in the last couple of days in another discussion. - Tom
I suggest you check out this thread started by Marie: http://priuschat.com/index.php?s=&showtopi...ndpost&p=267582 She added a comprehensive list in a Word document and it was later updated by another PC member. Both are pretty cool. Regards, Lil Mo
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Lil Mo @ Jun 18 2006, 07:35 PM) </div> Sorry to arrive here late but what is this 2006 Navigation System Quick Reference Guide people mention? I have a 2006 Navigation System Owner's Manual and an Owner's Guide for the car but that's it. Should I contact my dealer? Old Prof
I've created a card that (cut right) fits into the center console 'pocket' (towards the front). I printed this on both sides of a fairly thick card stock, and it works pretty well for me (page 1 on the front, page 2 on the back, trimmed, and folded in half). You're welcome to it. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(OldProf @ Jul 22 2006, 08:02 PM) </div> When I took delivery of my 2006, there was a small card in the armrest console that is called navigation quick reference. Check and see if it is there, otherwise, ask your dealer if they have an extra.
